Iconic ‘Saved By the Bell’ Actor Dustin Diamond Tragically Dead at Age 44 After Cancer Battle

The iconic actor who was most known for his star role of Samuel ‘Screech’ Powers has tragically passed away after a battle with cancer.

Dustin Diamond was only 44-years-old when he passed.

Diamond’s agent, Roger Paul, told Fox News that he had died from carcinoma.

He gave the following statement after announcing the news of Diamond’s death:

“He was diagnosed with this brutal, relentless form of malignant cancer only three weeks ago. In that time, it managed to spread rapidly throughout his system; the only mercy it exhibited was its sharp and swift execution. Dustin did not suffer. He did not have to lie submerged in pain. For that, we are grateful.”

Diamond’s health went downhill quickly over the last few days, and the last time he was coherent according to his agent was Thursday of last week.

Several “Saved By the Bell” stars came forward to offer their condolences after the news broke.
